Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I just realized "Hallogallo" has no words so you can't really identify it as German.

I do have an Irish song in Gaelic, though.

(Is Iceland Europe anyway?)

Well, it's not part of the Union, but then again neither is Switzerland. Damn Swiss.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I think the North America/Europe line is between Greenland (N.A.) and Iceland (Europe).

Punishingly Intricate

I have another project-related request for help! (not school project, though, party project) A friend does a Chinese New Year party every year and compiles a mix of songs that mention or are about the new year's animal icon (is that the right word? totem?). This past year, the Year of the Dog, was easy but she's having a hard time coming up with pig-related songs for the coming year. Anybody have suggestions?

She's got "War Pigs", "Pigs in Zen" (Jane's Addiction), and the Beatles "Piggies" so far.

There must be some songs about bacon out there, right. I mean, it's BACON!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've got Moxy Fruvous singing "Green Eggs and Ham", will that do?

And you can add the "Spam" song from Monty Python, for sure.

I have a Jacques Brel song called "Les Bourgeois" where the chorus proclaims that the bourgeois are like pigs, the older they get, the stupider they get. Of course, it's in French.

Something by Miss Piggy perhaps?

That's all I got.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Does nobody have the "Pigs in Space" theme?

I'll check my iTunes for pig related songs tonight.

Search on: Pig, Swine, Swineherd, Pork, Bacon, Chittlin's, and all the blues BBQ songs you can imagine.

Hey, you know what I've got? The jazzy bebop "Three Little Pigs" from the Warner Bros. cartoon about the hepcat piggies.
