Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Write a song about making a mix.

Well...I already have a subject. I just need the actual words.

We're doing a benefit for a friend who had a speaker fall on her face. She broke her glasses and had to get stitches between her eyebrows and she's doing okay. The club is paying all her medical expenses so this is just to give her some extra $ for her pain & suffering. Here is the poster:

She's a member of the new roller girl league here and was really hoping her first injury as a Roller Girl would have happened oh during an actual bout or somethhing. So the song is about the roller girls. The music was already written and is very fast race-y appropriate. I just...need some words. And maybe a whistle.

Good cause. And a song about roller girls! Nice.

It'll be fun if I ever finish it! I can talk about Cheata Torpeda, the girl who broke her face, and our friend Johnny Crash who is a referee.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'd love to be in on the mix thing, FWIW.

But mostlly, I wanted to beg for MP3s of "Iko Iko". I have the Belle Stars and the Dixie Cups. I know there's a lot of covers out there, does anyone have one for me?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I do not know what was going on tonight, but I was doing my monthly emusic downloads and it was not registering everything I was downloading. Has anyone else had this happen? Am I gonna get a bill for the extras?
