Punishingly Intricate

Heck, yeah! Fire away.

Should we all suggest one category? Or as many as we want and decide which we're going to use? How many should we have?

Or as many as we want

This! Cause I already have five or six and I've got a long-ass day in front of me with nothing fun to do.

I suggest we have Corwood decide the categories out of our suggestions (because that is just way way easier than trying to come to a bullshit consensus). Since we are putting this up at a gmail account and not burning CDs, there is no time restraint other than how long do you really want to spend sending music files to a gmail account... Corwood's RR had 26. I think our last one was 25. I think around there somewhere is reasonable.

Round robin list: Lisah, Tina, Misha, Jon, David, Erinaceous, Kate, DX, and me. Three rounds! Anyone else?

Also, I say suggest as many as you want. 'Cause I'm bossy, I like the idea of me being the ultimate arbiter of the categories, but I also like people having the voice to veto categories they dislike.

On the one we're doing elsewhere, we tried to limit it to 80 minutes just to have another constraint on there. However, the rule is that all categories must be met, so some songs have to do double or triple duty. I like this rule, as frustrating as it is, simply because I think constraints give people cause to be more creative. Also, I think 25-27 categories should cover all our needs. What do you think?

You are missing SA. And maybe somebody else let me go back and check.

tina f. - Feb 24, 2006 6:33:57 am PST #2302 of 10003

Yeah - I think it was just SA you left off.

I've got: Lisah, Corwood, Tina, Jon, Michele, Hec, SA, Erin, Kate and DX.

I think constraints give people cause to be more creative. Also, I think 25-27 categories should cover all our needs.

Agreed.

D'oh! Sorry, SA.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Eh, no worries.

If I were to compile mine into a zip file and put it on my webspace, would that be okay?

That's fine with me. I can't see anyone complaining as long as everyone can download it.

hip deep in pie

I'd do the Mix, but I think that dial-up will curtail my uploading/downloading abilities.

If you want, you could send your mix to me and I'll upload it.
