We killed a homeless man on this bench. Me and Dru. Those were good times. You know, he begged for mercy, and you know, that only made her bite harder.

Always Anti-fascist!

Did we know that Martha(and the Vandellas) Reeves is on the city council in Detroit? It was on Salon's (groan) Broadsheet yesterday...I really hate the thought that there was a meeting where somebody said "It's a *magazine* with news about *women*. Get it?" But I thought that was a very cool bit of "Where Are They Now?'

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I really hate the thought that there was a meeting where somebody said "It's a *magazine* with news about *women*. Get it?"

Here's the introductory post where they talk a teeny bit about the name: [link]

Tina, I'm looking at you!

And I am, as the kids say, stoked. I must rally the troops - the Feb. 22 show looks good, but may be crowded with procrastinators. I am thinking the 8th (country theme!!) or possibly the 15th (any Chicagoistas interested in going? Profile add. is good.)

Always Anti-fascist!

I know, Jon. I read that. Still not convinced. But maybe I'm just bitter.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm not sure whether this goes here or in the comics/toon thread, but Blur's drummer's cartoon is going to air in the US.

Either they're slipping or I'm getting more hip. I actually recognize some of those artists.

I feel like I just about new musiced myself out in 05.

I and a friend have decided on Feb. 8 for our Devin Davis at the Hideout night if any Chicago folk are still thinking about it.

You can hear a bunch of Davis mp3s right here.
