Don't remember the comedian (Chris Rock?) but someone had the great line about MJ, only in America could a poor black child grow up to be a rich white man.
I think the line was "...grow up to be a rich white woman."
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Possibly, but I like it the other way. Hard to believe that if he wanted to be a woman (or look more like one) he wouldn't have bigger implants than any of his sisters. He's not one for half measures when it comes to freakitude. Plus the pedophile jokes are just funnier if he's a guy. Why did Michael Jackson go to Wal-Mart? He heard that boys' pants were half off.
Hec's doppleganger isn't freaky-evil...he's HOA, chamber of commerce, uptight evil. Wears high waters and thinks the world lost something when "gay' stopped meaning "happy".
No, but I know one of the contributors -- Stewart Mason.
That name is ringing a bell. Does he write elsewhere?

I dunno. I only know him because he married a big fan of my radio station -- I woman who contributes generously every year during our fundraiser.
Oh! Someone (I'm looking at you, Hec) will appreciate this -- he and his wife met on the Loud Family listserv.

Someone like me and the poster with the Loud Family lyric for a board name right above you.
Oh... duh.
Bob Dylan is getting his own radio show. (And isn't it about time they gave that kid a break?)
My crazy music obsession of this week is M.Ward and in particular his recently released cover of "Green River" by CCR (it's for a charity of his). You can download it at emusic or you can get it off buffistarawk in about five minutes. It's sooooo good.
Smiths lovers: this band is clearly talented and are serious Morrissey-devotees: [link]
You can download an mp3 of a good song off their EP called "The Start of Something" from their site.
Jon, every time I go to update my BoC podcast I keep getting the 12/2 show. Whyfor isn't the 12/9 show available? I mean - not to nag - but I'm having one of those musicjunkie days and I need my fix man.
