Guy #1: Man, there are so many hipsters around. I hate hipsters! Guy #2: You're at the wrong place. That's like going to Vegas only to say "I hate titties!" --The Warsaw, Williamsburg (OINY)

Yeah, they are kind of ridiculous. I liked them a lot more before I realized how much they're ripping off the VU. (Admittedly, of course, but still.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I don't know why they felt that they had to have the conversation in the nurse's office.

I think it was to work in the Logan tearing up scene.

Oddly, that one I have no problem with.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Also, I like the theme song and mildly enjoy some of their other tunes (Heroin Is So Passe is kind of cute), but CT-T butchered that song, I thought.

Well, he was definitely doing it the way that Nazareth did it (which has gotten a LOT of airplay), so it was kinda pre-butchered.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I got the impression he was mangling it on purpose. And Nazareth's version was the "hit" so I'm not surprised by the "by".

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

(Heroin Is So Passe is kind of cute

Actual title is "Not If You Were the Last Junkie on Earth." I like it too, and several other Dandys songs. I'm currently addicted to "I Am a Scientist." And "Smoke It," obviously.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm currently addicted to "I Am a Scientist."

Did they cover Guided By Voices?

...no, I think it's an original.

You're getting my skeptical look now. But I'm more than willing to retract it later.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Allmusic sez Sunil is correct.

They have the DWarhols version as being composed by Bowie and C T-T.

(Does Bowie just collect these PYTs in eyeliner? Placebo, Dandy Warhols... )

"what's left when you take biology and sociology out of the picture?" "An autistic hermaphodite." -Allyson

Certainly bears no resemblance to GBV's tune, other than title and lyrics containing the word "scientist". Fun little ditty, though.
