Pop Candy discusses VM:
Several of you have e-mailed me about Veronica Mars' chances of renewal next season. Why are people suddenly feeling all hopeful? Because a) Gilmore Girls has been axed, leaving a hole in the schedule; and b) creator Rob Thomas has a plan. Unfortunately, TVGuide.com says that plan could involve some cast changes, so the new Veronica would look pretty different from the old one.
In any case, no matter how good the outlook is, don't forget to watch tonight. The show airs at 9 p.m. ET, and MySpace has a preview. Paul Rudd guest stars.
So, should we be hopeful? I'd like to hear some series good news for a change. Please.
le nubian, Ausiello recently reported that things look "pretty good" for the FBI incarnation; he says his insider said the CW really liked Rob's presentation and asked for more details.
After the presentation, two other insider reports filtered through TWoP and...some other board also said that VM has a good chance of coming back.
It's weird to be hopeful, but, honestly, since Rob's pitch and the GG cancellation, rumor tides seem to have turned. I don't know whether it'll be college or FBI, but it's looking a lot better for VM to come back next season, somehow.
P-C, okay that's cautiously excellent. I lurk on the Twop VM threads, but apparently I haven't seen these reports.
Who knew that Paul Rudd could play disgusting so well? (Okay, admittedly I've mostly seen the movies where he plays Charming.)
And nice product placement.
Is this it for the rest of the season? The stand-alones?
It could be my headache, but I'm really meh about the episode tonight.
Really? I'm quite enjoying it. Nice to see Leo again and Vinnie.
Also, yes -- this is the second of the five standalone episodes.
Excellent: Leo is back.
Vinnie running for Sheriff -- wow. Interesting.
It was fun. I liked the fake song, too.
What was the Semites for the Savior (heh) objection to the concert? I didn't get that.
And nice product placement.
Yeah. That had me giggling.
I liked this episode, but I find myself seriously uninterested in Veronica and Piz.
