Or are they just all Cathy and Heathcliff Dawson and Joey?
God, they're totally Cathy and Heathcliff. And no, I don't think they have fun together anymore -- I think they did the summer before senior year, maybe, but not so much since.
And truly? Piz's line about recognizing a good thing, and Veronica's expression? I really thought she was going to realize, "Hey, Piz is smart, funny, compassionate, cute..."
Plus, the LoVe angst is beginning to seem contrived.
AmyLiz - so did I. And so did Piz.
Oh well.
The teaser reminded me how much I love the office of Mars Investigations -- it's so pretty with it's red and yellow stained glass.
And truly? Piz's line about recognizing a good thing, and Veronica's expression? I really thought she was going to realize, "Hey, Piz is smart, funny, compassionate, cute..."
Me, too! I didn't think that they'd hook up imminently, but that it would be the point where Veronica started to catch on to how Piz would be a fun relationship.
I didn't think Veronica was picking up on what Piz was saying, but I didn't think she would go back to Logan either.
Yeah. I wish they'd give Veronica/Logan a rest. It's tiresome.
I liked this episode! Mac was freakin' ADORABLE. And I know that actor who played Bronson (honestly, Bronson? That poor kid with his cruel, cruel parents) from somewhere but damned if I remember from where.
Also in the plus column:
- The funny: I pretty much busted a gut when that PHAT dude handed Veronica and Mac those anti-fur card and told them what to do.
- The "Canada" room. Barenaked Ladies! All it needed was a hot Mountie.
- MONKEY!!
- Landry outsmarting Keith. Oooh, burn! I do love a good potential antagonist.
But you had to know that Landry would know who Keith was! That high profile a murder in his own town?
The "Canada" room. Barenaked Ladies! All it needed was a hot Mountie.
The Canada room was perfect. Although I did love Cuba, too.
Landry outsmarting Keith. Oooh, burn! I do love a good potential antagonist.
Yeah, Keith assuming Landry wouldn't know him was ... kind of less smart than Keith is supposed to be, which is annoying. Which I just typed as assnoying. Huh. Could be a word I might use.
Me, too! I didn't think that they'd hook up imminently, but that it would be the point where Veronica started to catch on to how Piz would be a fun relationship.
Not just fun, though. I think a relationship with Piz could actually go the distance. Unless you mean it would actually be a fun relationship to be in, as opposed to a rollercoaster of pain.
Dick with the polaroid was hilarious.
Lab monkey boy raising his hand when botonist chick was snarking about asking to see her nipples was also amusing.
Still very "Meh" on Piz in general. He feels too much like Rob Thomas' avatar to me, which makes the potential Veronica relationship seem kind of ooky to me. (Of course, I'm hypocritical about that, as there were moments I could see Buffy/Xander working, though they were few and far between.)
So knew Veronica's look when talking to Piz was about Logan. Which makes the apparent continued drama next week all the more annoying.
Also suspected lab monkey boy as being the kidnapper pretty early on.
As for Keith and Landry, I wonder if there's not layers going on here:
Landry as murderer: Why would he copy Veronica's paper exactly, knowing that Veronica would undoubtably find out about the circumstances of the Dean's death, making it easy for her to point the finger at him since he read the paper?
On the other hand, maybe he's making it obvious on purpose under the assumption he could play the "I'm way too smart to do something that obvious" card when questioned.
As for Keith, maybe he didn't realize Landry would recognize him. On the other hand, maybe he knew Landry would recognize him and was gauging Landry more on his reaction to knowing who Keith was rather than actually trying to get him to say "I totally killed my girl's husband!"
Can we still be suspicious of Landry's GA?
Can we still be suspicious of Landry's GA?
I would say so. Not!Lucky could have killed O'Dell and tried to sneakily frame Landry for it. Though I'm not sure what his motive would be.
Glad the murder was initially ruled a suicide, rather than Weevil getting blamed for it, though. The "prove Weevil didn't do it" plot was getting worn out.
