Cormac got out, and decided that, rather than run off, he'd off Kendall and keep the money for himself. We do not know if Cormac and Liam are in communication.
I'm still skeptical on the "killing" part, given that we didn't actually see Kendall get killed. Part of that is hoping the CC stays around, but part is the way the whole thing was filmed, with Cormac firing into another room.
Perspective is always very important on this show, so I'm sure the door is open in case they decide to bring the character back.
As Rob once said:
And Lynn Echolls is dead.
Unless I decide she's not.
Of course, he later said:
Don't lose faith. You're never really dead on Veronica Mars unless you're Lisa Rinna.
I got all the connections that Victor mentioned (especially the Darla one), but it bugged me that Cormac waited until a dramatically significant moment to pull out the gun. That was kinda lazy.
Also, I know I'm in a significant minority here, but I love the new credits (because they are ultra-noir) and like the remix of the theme song.
They really grew on me, Corwood. I like them too. In fact, I think that at points, the music matches the visuals much better than the original version, the way the change from moody piano to boppy synth happens with Dick and Logan, and the shots of Parker and Piz have a special sort of energy to them. It stops working as well after that, but I really love that moment in the middle, and I can be propelled through the rest by the fun.
I love the new credits in style and tone, but I think some of the photo shopping was a little amateur. I kept thinking, "My hed is pasted on yay."
Really? I have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't notice anything amiss at all.
I didn't notice any fakery, either. I liked how they seemed to be the grown-up version of the previous credits, having abandoned the bright drawings and high-school angst for full-on adult darkness with occasional bouts of intermittant light.
