Oh, P-C. Now I don't know. I wrote the disclaimer before I composed the post, and essentially repeated it, here. I don't think I did mention the promo, after all (by promo though, I mean what aired on UPN on the TV. I don't watch the cold open, or whatever that is).
Veronica Mars: Annoy, Tiny Blonde One. Annoy Like the Wind.
[NAFDA] Spoiler Policy: Seasons 1-3 and the movie are fair game. Spoiler font two weeks for new content presented all at once (e.g. Season 4 on Hulu is fair game as of Aug. 9, 2019). New content presented as weekly episodes may be discussed with no restrictions as it is released.
who put Veronica's name on Curly's hand,
In the promo, it looked to me like Curly himself wrote it.
Hee! I rewatched it last night, and thought the opposite. I do think Curly writing it himself, is the most likely explanation for it being on there, but something about Veronica asking Weevil if noticed whether or not her name was on Curly's hand when Weevil beat curly up, felt to me like it was supposed to be drawing it to our attention.
Hey, guys, you should listen to me on the latest Neptune Pirate Radio.
I read through Topic!Cindy's live journal. I haven't thought it all the way through, but here's some comments:
1. Beaver was on the Little League team -- I agree that the "Not Pictured" is him. He was abused and Mac does find this out. I like my theory that she finds it out by doing her computer mojo and cracking through the deleted portions of the tape, but other ways are possible too. I wonder if Beaver rejects her advances again in such a way that she realizes he's been abused.
2. Beaver is engaged in the real estate business -- through Kendall -- and it looks like he bet on incorporation failing. So he's still my candidate for sending that edited tape to Woody.
3. Woody could have tried to plant the bomb -- by giving to gift package to Peter. That Woody told Gia not to take the bus back supports this conclusion. However, it is also possible that Woody simply did not want his daughter to be alone with one or more of the kids he molested.
4. If the bomb was in the Sharks gift package, it means that Dick inadvertently contributed to the bomb being on the bus and those kids getting killed. I agree with the comment that this is a nice parallel to Season 1 where Madison's decision to have Veronica take a Trip to the Dentist -- by spitting in a drink and giving it to Veronica -- meant that Veronica also got the drugs that Dick intended Madison to take. Which lead to Veronica being used as a party favor and sex with Duncan.
5. I am really fighting the conclusion that Beaver arranged for the bomb to be at the stadium. Why would he -- as a warning to Woody? Which Beaver was supposed to detonate from the road? Lordy, that's risky. How would he know that someone wasn't standing near the garbage or where ever the bomb was supposed to be planted at the time it went off? (If Pete is actually the one who put the bomb in the Sharks gift bag, doesn't he have the same problem -- how does he know that there are no innocent spectators around?) Or was someone supposed to be watching the stadium to make sure that no one was around when the bomb went off and was unaware that the bomb was no longer there? (This could only be Curly, since Lucky was in the hospital, right?)

However, it is also possible that Woody simply did not want his daughter to be alone with one or more of the kids he molested.I really don't think Woody did it. I can't remember him not telling her to take the bus. I only remember her saying that to Lamb, so I don't know why. I can easily imagine he either didn't want her on the bus with Pete and Marcos, or even just that she complained of the stench, and so he told her not to go back on the bus.
(This could only be Curly, since Lucky was in the hospital, right?)Yes. I erroneous included Lucky as a possible accomplice. I don't know when you read the lj, but I have since crossed that portion out, and edited around it. I like the theory that Curly was watching for the bomb. I like it a lot a lot a lot.
Maybe Curly the stunt man was even going to let himself get injured. He'd know how to get hurt in a way that didn't hurt too badly.
LJ link, Cindy?
Jon, the journal is here: [link] the post to which Narrator is referring is here: [link]
Includes the episode title, (possible) discussion of the promos that have aired on TV on UPN (I disremember). Assume complete spoilers through 2:21, and mystery speculation on 2:22.

Ok, then, who killed Curly? If he was supposed to be watching so that the bomb at the stadium would explode when no one was around, I can see him freaking out when it was the bus that blew up. Maybe he was murdered to keep him from talking? Which suggests that it wasn't Beaver who did it. I just don't see him as that cold-blooded about killing.
What if -- Kendall wanted the Casablancas kids killed to collect the life insurance? (Yea, I know that Keith said that Big Dick got the policy, but what if that's not the case and Kendall arranged for it? She'd get the $$$$ when the boys died and blow town. Or at least leave Casa Casablancas -- she seems to have a house in town for reasons I don't get.) She dupes Curly to help in some fashion. He then freaks when he realizes what she was doing and the Fitzpatricks kill him. I dunno.

My thought was Beaver and/or Lucky placed the calls--fingering Curly as the culprit--to Weevil and select PCHers, from the Echolls' home, the night of Logan's "Life's Short" party. At that time, Thumper was still setting up his coup against Weevil, to gain leadership of the PCHers. If Thumper believed that Curly was responsible for the crash (and hence, Cervando's death) and Weevil wasn't taking enough action for his taste, maybe Thumper enlisted the help of the Fitzpatricks. Thumper had killed Felix for them (and his motive was a PCHer coup), so I think it's possible.

Although for a long time, I have thought we were going to find out a Kendall/Curly connection.
