Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

What is even happening?

Um, I have to look up what episode that is, because I'm a dork.

Also, really? I thought the first mention of an STD was when Veronica found out she had it.

Sorry. Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner -- it's the episode where Duncan and Veronica investigate which kid Meg babysat, that was being abused.

In Mrs. Hauser's health class, they are studying STDs. Veronica ends up partnering with Gia. Gia thinks it's a flower. Mrs. Hauser sets her straight. And Gia says something like she's sure it's a flower and that they "have it growing on a trellis at their beach house," so I think it's really likely that was a clue wrapped in a joke, and Woody is the original source.

Because books.

Oh, good. (Although I actually *am* a dork...)

I have to put Sara down for her nap, and we had to do errands this morning. Life is getting in the way of my VM discussion, damn it!

Also, Cindy, ewwww. And poor baby. And poor you! Points for not passing out!

And I also thought the first mention of Veronica getting an STD was last week when the doctor told her.
Last week was the first mention of anyone having chlamydia on the show Nora, but it wasn't the first mention of chlamydia in the season. It was set up before Christmas.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, so it's not that Veronica was worried that she had chlamydia but that Gia had made that remark. (So, possibly suggesting that at some point in her life she'd overheard something that Woody said and misunderstood?)

Okay, I remember it got talked about in health now, but at this point in the season, to find out only last week that Veronica has it still seems...dumb. Because with everything else to cover, where are they going to go with that next week? And it still works as shock value for the trial.

No. I think it was the writers being sly back at the time of NPBiaC. By then they should have known they'd have Woody be a molesting monster. They'd know chlamydia was going to be part of the evidence trail. They planted a mention of it in a joke (Gia was probably thinking of Clematis [link] as a throw away clue.

Okay, I remember it got talked about in health now, but at this point in the season, to find out only last week that Veronica has it still seems...dumb.

I doubt they originally intended to use it in the trial. I think it's a clue to the molestation trail, and a link that connects the bus crash to Woody and/or his victims, AND then they said, why not humiliate Veronica with it at trial too, because Aaron totally would do that. Look at how he uses his own son.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

one thing that no one's brought up yet. in the preview when V is confronting the bus crash suspect with the gun she's really upset. do we really think she'd be that upset if it were Beav? of course, that confrontation could be V jumping to the wrong conclusion(again), but yeah. that, among other things, is really preventing me from jumping on the Beav is a psycho killer.

Who would upset her more than someone she considers a friend or at least an occasional ally? Unless you think it's Logan or Weevil (or Wallace or Keith).
