I think tonight's episode was great. My roommate and I were just talking about the fundamental difference in this season and last: the lack of suspects.
The first season, anyone could have been Lilly Kane's killer and Veronica's raper.
This season, it pretty much came down to "was it Woody?" "Was it the fitzpatricks?" "Are they together?"
But after tonight, it could really be almost anyone again. Which is great. Casablanci? Fitzpatricks? Woody? Weevil? Kendall?
I don't know why it took me so long to recognize her as an actor from Freaks and Geeks. Good casting! Speaking of, nice rip on Paris Hilton in the episode, too.
Oh my word, was that the woman who played Cindy Sanders on F&G? It never even pinged me, because of the dark hair. I just kept thinking how she could be a Cordelia.
I recognize the actor who played "Lucky" from something, but neither Scott nor I could figure out what show we would have seen him on, other than VM.
I was thoroughly into the episode, but when it ended, Scott and I both said (simultaneously, which at least was good for a laugh), "Okay, I didn't get that at all," by which we meant the ending.
It almost seemed like Keith was saying Dick and Beav were the targets for their life insurance, but Veronica knows it was Dick's father who said they could take a limo, and she didn't say so.
Granted, I can see Kendall setting it up, and have suspected she'd end up involved since we first saw her in one window on V's P.C. and Curly in another, but if the idea is that whoever triggered it, did so from the limo, that doesn't fit.
Of course I also wouldn't have expected Wallace to have it in him to watch that Echolls Family Smear show, right in Logan's home.
This wasn't my favorite episode. I will have to watch again, but I wasn't overly impressed. It didn't flow well. To some extent, I expected that, because I knew there'd be dreams involved, but there was stuff the didn't feel right to me in the non-dream scenes.
The make-out scene was totally hot.
The hottest part of all was when Logan clutched Veronica to him, as he brushed off Dick and Lucky.
I'm a lot further down the Cassidy-is-responsible road than I meant to be.
If it's either Weevil or Cassidy in a conscious, purposeful way, I will be disappointed, because I don't think we've been shown murderous characters (with the possible exception of Weevil setting up Felix, and even then, there are other issues at stake).
In particular, I don't believe we've been shown that either would have had the capacity for murder [particularly a murder that got so many people, and not just specific enemy(ies)] at the time of the bus crash.
P.S. I'm not counting out Weevil's cousin who got bounced from the PCHers last year, though.
Did Cervando say that Weevil caused the crash or did he refer to "the bald guy"? Which could be Thumper. Or someone else.
Narrator, I think he just said "bald guy." V interpreted it as Weevil at one point, but I think that was right before she realized the "I am God" graffiti was only from a CD cover.
I like now that we have many more suspects and people to think about (though granted, we really got them all in the last four) and nothing is certain. Despite misleading promos.
I think it's gonna be a power-packed four episodes, though. Stuff to chew on all summer long.
Wasn't the stunt coordinator who was murdered bald?
Curly? I think he was bald.
Anyone named "Curly", by definition, is bald. It's a thing. A hairless thing.
Oh my word, was that the woman who played Cindy Sanders on F&G?
No, not Cindy Sanders. But I think she might have been one of Cindy's friends.
Holy shit, what if Curly was the limo driver?
Whoa!
Did we ever see the limo driver?
(Now wishing that there were a set of Season 2, Part 1 dvds. . .)
