Yeah--I understand that the grandparents (Meg's parents) could certainly sue for custody, and possibly win (if the whole abuse thing doesn't come out) given their more stable life and ability to raise a child and blah blah blah. But Duncan would surely have rights and so on?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

We're supposed to be not sure if she's involved, right?

I mean, the breaking up could easily have been staged.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm not sure I understand. Duncan's the father. With Meg dead, wouldn't he have custody?

That would depend. Is he on the birth certificate? Did he have any legal visitation rights prior to Meg's death? Was he paying support. If there wasn't a court order, he'd have to sue for custody. Mind you, I'm no lawyer.

We're supposed to be not sure if she's involved, right?

She's convinced me she didn't have anything to do with it--with the wallowing.

How long between when the baby was born and Meg dying? I mean, was there even time for any of that?

They fill that info out at the hospital. Maybe Meg's parents conveniently left off the information.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Ooooh, nice twist. Are they fazing out Duncan's character? I know there was a lot of criticism about Duncan from fan circle, but I liked him quite a bit in this. Looks like he'll have to be gone for at least a few episodes.

I LOVED the FBI team. LL mocking Lamb would never, ever get old.

What happened to Lamb's trunk? Were the water bottles supposed to mean something? If so, I missed something there.

meara - Jan 25, 2006 5:03:15 pm PST #1669 of 5730

Yeah, none of this seems right. It would make me so much happier if they'd at least TOKEN made reference to some of the expected issues...I mean, even if this was just some attempt to write Duncan off the show quickly, it could've been better done. (And I somehow doubt this is all cleared up that easy)

meara - Jan 25, 2006 5:04:09 pm PST #1670 of 5730

Vonnie, I'm assuming Duncan snuck into Mexico by hiding in Lamb's trunk?

DebetEsse - Jan 25, 2006 5:05:27 pm PST #1671 of 5730
Woe to the fucking wicked.

See? Faked.

That's not the final resolution, right? I mean, it was good, but somehow not enough for the end of Duncan (and all the other surrounding plotlines)

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

D'oh. Of course that's it, meara. Although... Duncan is a big dude--wouldn't Lamb have felt the weight in the trunk? And they're telling me the baby didn't even cry during the ride? Well, Lamb's Mexico scenes did come with a loud soundtrack so maybe he didn't hear.
