Should the thread slug be edited to reinforce the web promos not being okay for open discussion here?

I don't think we've ever discussed web promos as being too spoilery for this thread at least in whitefont. Is spoiler lite the appropriate place for them?

Whitefont isn't open discussion, in my books.

However, someone might read "aired" and think that web things the network has released are as blackfontable as what was on TV.

If you figure no one will read it and make that mistake, so you don't need the slug edited, no worries.

Actually I agree with you. Maybe you should edit the slug to read "Anything that's aired in the US (including television promos) is fair game..."

We can hash out the approach to web promos, which seems to be a weekly occurrence, in thread.

Is there a problem with the current handling?

I think the concern is that someone reading the slug and not knowing that web promos may be considered spoilery may blackfont that information. Since no determination has been reached in thread about their status, it may be prudent to specify promos in the slug as limited to television promos and not other types of promos, like the upn.com online teasers.

Do we consider the upn.com promos spoilery? My personal preference is to have the discussion whitefonted here. If anyone objects it's no biggee to move it to Lite.

My definition of spoilery is information not put out there officially by the network. YSDMV

It must be a little spoilery, or it wouldn't be whitefonted.

Whatever the decision, I think it should be reflected in print somewhere.

Because of the posting of the teaser on the upn site (thereby making it official), I think it would be better, for VM, at least, to say "that which has been aired on the UPN television network", or words to that effect. IOW, I think that the teaser should be spoily/whitefonted until it actually airs.

Whew, finally caught up--I'd tivo'd it, as I was out of town, but then (stupid antenna) it was unwatchable, so I had to wait for Saturday night's replay (thank goodness for that!).

I just watched the opening scene (which I kinda think is fair to whitefont, since it's not just flashes of "next week on", it IS next week on! But don't really care if it's not whitefonted, will go with the group). Madness. And fun as it would be, if Veronica is on Logan's jury I WILL throw things at the TV in a fit of "YOU'VE STRETCHED MY DISBELIEF TOO FAR YOU BASTARDS"

Also, as for the pregnancy, don't both the father AND the mother have to terminate parental rights for a baby to get adopted? So even if Meg's parents "make" her sign away hers, can't Duncan in theory stand firm? I mean, not that he necessarily wants to raise the kid (suddenly that whole baby-from-health-class and illegitimate-love-child shtick Veronica was talking to his mom are all more interesting...).

The alternate ending was crazy.
