This was a very good episode. I loved the scene with CC and AH.
What was the principal doing when he was changing the name plate on his desk? I didn't follow that.
RE the alternate ending
Wouldn't the nurse call a doctor or check on the patient first and then worry about security?
sj, i think it was showing us that he had ascended to the principal position now.
Van Clemmons is now the new principal becasue the other guy was fired or resigned. He was changing the name plate to reflect this fact.

Oh, I thought he was always the principal. I don't follow this show as closely as I should. I enjoy watching it, but I don't have appointment tv love for it.
He was the vice principal before.
Oops. Wrong thread.
Well, might as well edit to add some content.
Stephanie, I'm having some issue with the 180 degree turnaround in Meg's characterization this season as well. (and to think, for most of the part, she was comatose!) It sort of fits the noir axiom of Everyone Has A Thing To Hide/Lying Through Their Teeth, but still.
I don't usually notice the fight stuff on this show, unlike Buffy, but I thought both the scene at River Stix last week (when Ed Jerse hauled Veronica up and slammed her down on the pool table) and the fight between Weevil and Logan in this episode were terrifically done. Nice, dynamic camera work, plus some real heat and menace behind the violence.
I've read that the alternative ending has no bearing on the plot lines. It was just a publicity stunt. Between this and the Someone! Will! Die! (oh, that old trick...)promo, I'm getting teed off at UPN.
Then...why are we voting? Cuz it's fun? Ok. Sure. I...stupid network.
'Tis a truth universally acknowledged that the UPN promo department is run by a pack of monkeys on crack.
My guess is that the death is going to be a relatively minor character. My kitten's on Meg,
since the alterna-ending showed her flatlining anyway.
ETA: Er, right. I guess we're WFing the alterna ending still? Do we need to?
