I've managed to watch Prison Break (what is it about a cute guy that's obsessed, but not with a chick?).
Oh, good, I'm not the only one still watching. I think I am little bit in love with WM. He is my fall TV boyfriend.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Suppose you were trapped in an office building for a year or so. So you're only source of food (after the vending machines were emptied) would be food that you could grow in the windows or on the roof. (In my scenario you couldn't trap and eat pigeons.) What would be the best food to grow? Something that would grow fast, be productive, have a large percentage of the plant be edible, etc. (Assuming that getting the seeds or dirt to grow it in would not be an issue.)
I have given up wondering why my brain comes up with these questions - I've decided just to go with it....
Bean sprouts. Very nutritious.
I like calling him Almanzo, though he's still warming up to the nickname. Then again, the one nickname he's come up with for himself is Bob.
I totally likes yours better. It's even better than "Manly".
I'm fine, thanks. Just finished TAing a summer class that ate my time completely, so now I have to make up for the actual work I've missed with that. Oh, and I just learned that the thing my friend's 9.5-months-old baby finds the funniest in the whole world, even through a telephone wire, is my laughter.
Still no explaination as to why he ran out of Buffy and Joyce, however.
I still can't help thinking "no, Almanzo would have never done that!". "Little House on the Prairie" was the first show I can remember my mom sitting with me and translating for me, since I was too young to read the subtitles (or definitely understand the English), so by now I guess I'm conditioned to like him (or any one of them, for that matters).
How was Almanzo pronounced on the Prairie? I can't hear a pronunciation in my head without the short "a."
In my head, the 'a' in 'man' is like the 'a' in "Aragorn". Trudy's mind's ears are probably more accurate, though.
Dana, I hope today gets better for you.
Happy birthday, Sophia!!!
It's not that House is a medical show. It's that it's a mystery show, and unless you're The Inside, it's probably going to be solved preeety close to the end of the airing hour (with enough time for "chase" and "arrest," if needed).
Yeah, right on. It's like how on the Celebrity Poker Showdown, you know if someone goes all in at X:56, they're going to lose.
But did it really define a generation? Which one?
Um, no. It defined a group of wannabe fake Bohemians, maybe. Even as much as I love Rent, if it "defined" any "generation," it would have been mine, and not so much.
Bean sprouts. Very nutritious.
Oh, that's a good one.
I was also thinking maybe wheat sprouts. Nummy and kind of sweet. But I don't think you'd actually end up with more food than if you just ate the wheat seeds - I think you gotta eat them when they're really young.
snortle.
I love the Rent music and I was mumbling through the whole show: "Get a Job, you lazyass."
rambly meeting make me really annoyed. I do not need to hear about every single thing you do for your job. no really, I don't.
But did it really define a generation? Which one?
Only a generation that didn't realize it was a remake of "La Boheme".
happy birthday Sophia.
OK, the thought of a wee baby Nilly in her Mother's lap having LHotP translate is the cutest thing ever.
Nilly gets all excited about something, "Ima! Ima" (that's 'mommy,' right?) and bounces and stuff as Laura rolls Nelly down a hill into the creek or something. And baby Nilly is annoyed that she and the bad guy have nearly the same name...
Well, maybe toddler Nilly. Six year old Nilly? Regardless, dead of teh cute.
