Silence means security silence means approval

They're only 38 games behind in the wildcard race.

With 12 to go! I think this is the Royals' year.

I found out that in my fantasy league fourth place no longer wins "your money back" but only 75% of it. However, if you win a category, you win 3/16th of your money back. I didn't know this because I never got the updated rules at the start of the year.

And someone will use the numbers above to figure out how much money it cost me to buy into roto baseball this year. It's an integer.

What is even happening?

Eurythmics? Eurhythmics? It should be spelled with the "rh", because that's how rhythm is spelled. *googles* Nope, it's spelled Eurythmics.
I think this speaks to my hate which speaks for itself, or something.
Whuh? You don't even like "Would I Lie to You?"
This is the song I hated the least. I might have even liked it at one time, but I do not remember on account of trying to completely block out the Eurythmics, and all their works.

I do think Annie Lennox is stunning, though, as is her voice.

Cindy is dead, dead, DEAD to me now. DEAD, I tell you.

I've been dead before. I like the quiet.

I'd say, "Here Comes the Rain Again" ranks up there....

Ugh! The horror! The horror!

Sweet dreams are made of cheese...

And...the abomination that causes desolation.

Had an interview last night and I'm trying to compose a thank you letter that praises the organization, and conveys my enthusiastic interest in the firm and why they must hire me immediately. But all I keep coming up with smells of sycophancy and desperation.
Don't lawyers get off on that?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Sue!

What timeframe of your life are you supposed to become attached to the music of?

Is there a supposed? Me, I'm very simple -- British music of the 80s, Jamaican music of the 70s, the 60s music I discovered in the late 80s, and hip hop from 1995.

I love Simply Red, and I love The Eurhythmics (see above).

There was Prison Break yesterday? Dammit, I have a lot of TV to watch.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I grew up on folk and "world" music, for the most part, and barely listened to anything else outside of the (generously-defined, but still) folk category until I got to college. Oh, and musicals. And Queen. Since then, I've spent a lot of time and energy (and, oh, so much money) on finding new bands and genres that I like. Still, to a large extent, my musical tastes were formed early on by my parents, and then by my camp counselors.

For those of you who don't play around in the music thread, there was a quiz thingy last week sometime where you went through the list of the Top 100 songs from the year you graduated high school, and checked off any that wouldn't make you change the channel immediately if they came up on the radio. I knew maybe 10 of the top 100 for my year. It was interesting to see how few people actually liked most of the top songs from their year.

I have three brand-new holes in my arm

But at least it's over now, and no lockjaw!

With 12 to go! I think this is the Royals' year.

If they win all their remaining games they'll avoid a 100-loss season. They will need some help to grab the wildcard though, everyone in the American League will need to lose the rest of their games, and the season will have to extended from some reason to be named later.

Don't try lifting something off the shelf over your head for a few hours! Not sure why, but right after I got my tetnus shot, I sorta would lose strength in my arm if it was higher than my shoulder. So I dropped cans of catfood on my head in Target.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

But at least it's over now, and no lockjaw!

I need to get additional hepatitis shots eventually, but yeah, the tetanus was not nearly as bad as I remembered it being.

Oh, I can name the reason: The Yankees don't get into the playoffs.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My arm muscles do feel kind of funny. I can't decide if it's psychosomatic.
