I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My arm muscles do feel kind of funny. I can't decide if it's psychosomatic.

Yeah, I wasn't sure either. It didn't really hurt at the time, just didn't work quite right.

Cindy, I don't like the Eurhythmics either. Just thought I'd let you know you're not alone. And DH just played me some more recent Annie Lennox, and while I concede she has a good voice, the overall style is way too breathy and electronic for my tastes.

Argh. Okay, not all, then.

What is even happening?

Susan, YES! That's exactly it. Also, they were so hyped (particularly on MTV) when they first came out, to the extent that would turn me off of any artist.

For those of you who don't play around in the music thread, there was a quiz thingy last week sometime where you went through the list of the Top 100 songs from the year you graduated high school, and checked off any that wouldn't make you change the channel immediately if they came up on the radio. I knew maybe 10 of the top 100 for my year. It was interesting to see how few people actually liked most of the top songs from their year.

Oh, do you think you can find it, Kate?

Well, they are shoving fluid where it doesn't belong, not to mention the being stabbed. I don't think it's psychosomatic.

I mean, in college, I had crappy nurses, and my arm used to turn into a knot of black and blue where they gave me my allergy shots.

If I only had a brain...

My experience is that it's the day after when the tetanus shot really gets you.

In other news, I listened to "Dark Side Of The Moon" on the way into work and now I have Kafka earworms.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I adored the Eurhythmics. It probably helped that I didn't have access to MTV when they were hottest. If "Would I Lie to You?" comes on the radio I stop channel surfing and sing along, loudly.

Tetanus shots definitely make my arm muscle hurt. I can't speak to whether or not it makes my arm much weaker, because I'm usually too much of a wimp to try lifting anything for a few days after getting a shot.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Did you know Hugh Laurie plays her dorky husband in the Walking on Broken Glass video?

Obviously not Kate, don't know anything about music, and not even here, but I think the bottom of this page may help you.
