Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's excellent news, Dana.

It's a remora, dimwit.

Okay - after we're done with this continent, Almanzo and I so doing Africa. (Actually, I've been wanting to sail down the Nile from source to sea for years. Just have to work on the crocodile avoiding skills.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the welcomes back. I rushed special to make the board's birthday, honest.

Did you have coffee there?

I did not. I meant to, but their coffee market kinda crashed, and they're not making a big deal of the quality anymore, it seems.

Okay, that took way too long to type. I'm off to bed.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Chiming in on the: Welcome back, ita! Gorgeous photos!

And, great news, Dana!

"Taken for granite" was in some fanfic. I don't remember what, but not a Rileyfic. I used to foolishly offer to beta-read fanfic. I learned better. It made me too depressed.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

That's fantastic, Dana. It's sure awfully nice when at least some things work out better than anticipated.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Welcome back, ita. I agree with everyone on how amazing those pictures are.

Yay for Dana's parents' house and for Melpomene's better apartment finding.

Canon versus Cannon is a big one for me. I've never heard of "Taken for granite" before, and the mind boggles at how that even remotely is supposed to make sense.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Dana, that is wonderful news.

Melpomne, yours is pretty sweet too.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Timelies and what-not.

I am crashing at a friend's house (she has a spare bedroom). Every time I crash here, right after I go to bed her cat comes in the room, wanting to be petted. Of course, I feel compelled to do so.

Her cat smells my cat on my laptop. So her kitty is rubbing his face on the laptop, to mark it as his. I wonder if my cat will be mad when I get home....
