So I just got a summons for jury duty, and I'm all conflicted. Apparently I can postpone, so I guess I should put it off until school's out, but that means actually picking a specific date about 10 months in the future!
Also, I feel a bit like what's-her-name on Moonlighting. It's my civic duty!

What is even happening?
Busy, Cindy. And tired as hell. Between work, school, life, writing, teaching and trying to exist, I'm feeling rundown. I haven't had a day off, where I just sat at home, in almost 2 weeks. And I have 3 sets of papers to grade.Oh, wow. No wonder you feel run down. I hope it all settles. I know you've been back to school longer than we have, but still, it's hard enough settling into the schedule as a parent. I can't imagine it from the teaching end of things.
Also, my new thing is to get up at 4:00 or 4:30AM to get work done. Good plan, which is not so much panning out.It's that pesky human need for sleep, I tell ya.
There have been rumors that Zellweger's husband is gay. I'm wondering if that's what "fraud" means.
Elsewhere someone mentioned that. It's a strange thing to cite at any rate, isn't it?

Hey, has anyone else heard that Karl Rove has been out of the loop with a kidney stone? It came up in conversation last night with some friends as a reason why the White House has been bungling everything up, 'cause their evil puppet master is out of commission. I hadn't heard this before though.

Yup, Nora. I think that's why Bush had such a delayed reaction to Katrina. I think Rove was with Bush on the last two days of his vacation but it was then that Turd Blossom started pissing blood (couldn't happen to a nicer guy, if you ask me). He was briefly hospitalized for it.
We've all seen what we get when Karl's not there to prompt Jr. into action. He was back on the case early this week, though. Which, included prepping Dubya for his speech last night.

Why is it, the one day this week I didn't have to work, I woke up at 7:30?
