move out and draw fire

A friend of mine in Italy just sent me this. I have no way of fact-checking it at the moment, other than to say that yes, the newspaper ran it as I'm saying.

Note from Bush to Condi, written during the recent meeting at the UN [link]

I'm sure it's innocent, just a guy with a security detail needing to arrange his time...

Ficht nicht mit Der Raketemensch!

Also, the lead agent is ungodly hot and there was shirtlessness in the first episode. What more do you need?

You need to get hold of the DVD of Casanova , in which the same guy plays Casanova's nemesis. Also because it's fucking brilliant. And has the new Dr Who in.

What is even happening?

Renee Zellweger, and (country music star) Kenny Chesney, who met in January and married in May will have their four-month-old marriage annulled.

In court papers filed Wednesday, Zellweger listed "fraud" as the reason for the breakup but did not elaborate.

I guess they needed a word and fraud puts the break up in a better light than the words "gross stupidity" would.

Heh.

How are you, Kat? You've seemed a little scarce.

Busy, Cindy. And tired as hell. Between work, school, life, writing, teaching and trying to exist, I'm feeling rundown. I haven't had a day off, where I just sat at home, in almost 2 weeks. And I have 3 sets of papers to grade.

Also, my new thing is to get up at 4:00 or 4:30AM to get work done. Good plan, which is not so much panning out.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

There have been rumors that Zellweger's husband is gay. I'm wondering if that's what "fraud" means.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Watched my tape of Bones and House last night. Neither one became an instant "Must watch this", but I'll try them for a few more weeks. (Bones has a certain amount of snark value, especially the thats-not-DC snark.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, he spent all his time hanging out in fraud bars, watching fraud porn....

So I just got a summons for jury duty, and I'm all conflicted. Apparently I can postpone, so I guess I should put it off until school's out, but that means actually picking a specific date about 10 months in the future!

Also, I feel a bit like what's-her-name on Moonlighting. It's my civic duty!
