I have realized that I like my own buttercreams better than those at Cupcake Royale, and as their cupcakes are merely delivery systems for the frosting, I have no actual need to go there. I think I'll try the Cook's Illustrated basic yellow cupcake recipe soon, for when I don't want chocolate.
I love Top Pot, especially the filled ones, but I think I need to learn to make my own doughnuts.
Now, in addition to trying to find this contract which no one seems to be responsible for filing, I am editing this newsletter my boss wrote about forensic dentistry. With sentances like:
"Incisors" represent the class in the case as opposed to canines that present with circles or triangles in the midline of the bite mark.

You want our Fry Daddy? I've used it twice in the last six years.

Pretty much. I've often said one of the only reasons to eat bread is so you have something to put the butter on.

The what now?
I want a mandate.
I read this as "I want a manatee."
And I do. I want a manatee.

Part of the reason I need to learn to make my own is to get some use out of our fryer.
Right now, it's just gathering dust.
Bear in mind that I never had a donut that
wasn't
from Krispy Kreme until I was 18. So to me they're what a donut is supposed to taste like, and the others are all too heavy and dense, even when they taste OK. Which is not to say I don't eat and enjoy the chocolate Top Pot donuts the local Starbucks has, only that they're not quite real donuts to me because they don't melt in my mouth.
But I do think Texas/Oklahoma barbeque is quite good, because cow is good eatin'
I'll be tolerant enough to concede that, and even that the sweet KC-style sauce matches well with the heavier flavor of beef. But pig is better eatin'. Pulled pork, ham, bacon...mmmm....
Christopher just said, "Mommy, what does 'take over the world' mean?"
Heh! You might want to make sure he gets plenty of cupcakes, so he'll think well of you when he's Fullfilled his Destiny.
