Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Always Anti-fascist!

My brother assistant-managed a taco bell. He worked ungodly hours.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, and some bookstore/coffee shops have CDs and DVDs....

But then people want the book with the blue cover, or the movie with the guy. From last year?

Swouncing

Can I call it a day and go home now?

Laura, I hereby use my authority to send you home. Alas, my authority is too tiny for that to work. The furthest I can send you is to play online. I hope that will do.

I always liked cutting the pizza into an odd number of slices.

Oh, I like that!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The only food service type jobs I had were in college.

I worked as a dishwasher my first semester, first shift (7:30am) Saturday and Sunday morning. Oy.

People I Still Hate: The students who would fill a glass (not a bowl, not a saucer) with peanut butter and then stub their cigarettes out in it.

Later I moved to the drink line. There was an unfortunate incident when the hose on the ten gallon milk dispenser pulled out and suddenly there was a small tsunami of milk runnelling down the line.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ten years, give or take, in the industry, but never fast food, thank god.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

My very first job at 16 was at a McDonald's. It was brand new and clean and shiny. It really wasn't a bad job. I worked there for 6 months in between marching band seasons.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

The summers I was 17 and 18, I worked as a cashier at Hardee's. I didn't eat french fries for a full year thereafter because I was so sick of the smell (which would permeate my hair and skin--ugh).

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Somehow, during that very early "food or retail" stage of life, I ended up in retail.

The Ups:

No Fast Food Ever

The Downs:

No Tips Ever
