Yesterday I didn't feel well enough to do the dishes I got dirty, so I left them in the sink. This morning my friend J. who lives far away but goes to school about a half mile from my apartment came by between classes (she has a key, and full permission to come by any time), and she DID MY DIRTY DISHES.
I'm a teensy bit mortified.

You know what? Though it is amazing to pass through history and have historic events as timeposts in my life that impact me emotionally (where I was when...), it kinda sucks. My parents had McCarthy, JFK, MLK, Malcom X, JFK, Watts riots, Watergate. I have, thus far: Challenger, fall of the Berlin Wall, fall of the Soviet Union, Sep 11, Columbia and now, Katrina.
History SUUUUCKS.

By the time I realized what a pain my sister was going to be, it was too late to send her back. I was initially lulled by multiple readings of the Little Golden Book "The New Baby."
