That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

flea is a blonde pre-teen, right? Nutty is a wee bald bairn, right? Elsewise, my worldview is askew.

Your worldview is not askew, just thirty years old or so.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Little baby Nutty!

Oh, this is kind of funny: earlier tonight, I got to impress a new student with my knowledge of furries. Har.

Always Anti-fascist!

"All these mopes in bracelets...not one of'em named Osama," huh, Gus. Seriously, a number of very bright but geeky people have completed exhaustive posts on that topic but all I can offer is: "This isn't a war, because wars end." I wish I had the analytic/strategic faculty but, alas.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, do folks know that Lucy Lawless is on tonight's Battlestar Galactica?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, this is kind of funny: earlier tonight, I got to impress a new student with my knowledge of furries. Har.

I impressed a guy at my high school reunion with my knowledge of Ron Jeremy, back before The Surreal Life.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

This isn't a war, because wars end...

I am ready to come up against the side of the head of a "number of very bright but geeky people..."

I am a geek. My geek flag flies. I do not want to get all political up in here, but I hass to say that ...

War sucks.

However, you knew that.

Putting all of that aside .. how cute is erkija?

This cute!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yesterday I didn't feel well enough to do the dishes I got dirty, so I left them in the sink. This morning my friend J. who lives far away but goes to school about a half mile from my apartment came by between classes (she has a key, and full permission to come by any time), and she DID MY DIRTY DISHES.

I'm a teensy bit mortified.

How long until the Newman song about the '27 flood is rewritten to 2005?

Macabre, perhaps, but I'm just waiting. They had Randy Newman on NPR this morning afterall.

You know what? Though it is amazing to pass through history and have historic events as timeposts in my life that impact me emotionally (where I was when...), it kinda sucks. My parents had McCarthy, JFK, MLK, Malcom X, JFK, Watts riots, Watergate. I have, thus far: Challenger, fall of the Berlin Wall, fall of the Soviet Union, Sep 11, Columbia and now, Katrina.

History SUUUUCKS.

The concept of apartment brokers is freaky. I mean, I get it, but....different market.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I'm a teensy bit mortified.

Dude, I'd be doing the Snoopy dance.
