Shit's all sorts of different now.

Work took too long to approve putting the company name on the donation drive for the Dream Center. I am going to try to talk them into donating 5 brand new computers from Dell.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have to say, this Brownie stuff is why I'm petrified about what I put on my resume. That said, I can count Jan 1996 - now as "a decade," right?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Grr. I just found out that I made a stupid mistake at work yesterday (putting something in the wrong place), which is bad enough, but it got interpreted as a bigger stupid mistake (leaving it out entirely).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I get to leave an hour early today. Also, I found out that the downtown Chicago Apple store has iPod Nanos in stock.

What to do... what to do....

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What to do... what to do....

Buy me a Nano, evidently.

Can someone tell my father that if "Call me back as SOON as you get a chance -- I need to know when you're in town so I can come visit!" will do, don't leave two messages like "Call me back immediately. On my cell. It's urgent."

Kee-rist.

My 25-person department has cleared out of the building, except for maybe three of us. I'm thinking about taking off sometime in the next hour, even though it is an hour early. I've been working late this whole week, anyway, damnit!
