Kaylee: Can I? Zoe: Sure. He's out, though. Kaylee: He did this for me, once.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks to talk of Prince and covers, I have Nothing Compares 2 U in my head, but it's alternating between Sinead and Prince.

move out and draw fire

I can't say I like being proselytized, but I'm glad I can be.

Yep. There's a Ministry of Religion here. I live across from the "Greek Pentagon" (their Defense department, which, um, has four sides) and there's a big church on the Pentagon grounds.

Good-looking children! Go you!

That's fantastic, Allyson.

My goodness. Gudanov kids are so. cute.

My father is completely unable to claim he wasn't a smart-ass as a kid, because you can see it in ever single photo of him.

Oh, man. This is my sister. Every picture of her screams imp. Of course, to me she was more unholy terror. But to the rest of the world, mostly just imp.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have Nothing Compares 2 U in my head, but it's alternating between Sinead and Prince.

I like the Sinead one much better. It's not improved by making it a duet, and Rosie's not as vulnerable as either Prince or Sinead.

I made a mishmash Prince mix CD for the car, and I've been listening to it nonstop for about 2 weeks.

Now you make me want to do that. But I have a bunch of new music (well, new to me -- Outkast from 2000? I'm a fossil) to go through so it can be rated and put on appropriate playlists.

Of course, I'm not listening to them right now, but I can pretend.

Pfft. No. Off to Usher, then.

Yeah, I think I do, too, but I don't think I own it, so I end up with Prince and Rosie popping into my head instead. Or the latest version I have from the Loser's Lounge.

Oh, man. This is my sister. Every picture of her screams imp. Of course, to me she was more unholy terror. But to the rest of the world, mostly just imp.

The other funny thing from my family was my mother claiming she wasn't bossy -- until the old home movies got transfered to video. The WHOLE THING is her telling her younger siblings what to do, where to go, how to stand, what to say. Hi-fucking-larious.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I like The Atari's cover of "Boys of Summer". Speaking of covers.

Also, Happy Birthday, Kalshane!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Happy Birthday, Kalshane!

You know who else's birthday it is? It's Franny's, too, so Happy Birthday to Buffistina Monkeypants!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Happy Birthday, Monkeypants!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

(I decided to post now because I have no idea when I'll have Internet access at home. Stupid Verizon was supposed to call G when their technician was heading to our place yesterday, but didn't. The guy apparently showed up and realized he needed to get inside and left a note to that effect.Sheesh)

We have gotten all our stuff out of the condo. Now we have to figure out where to put it...

Gud's kids are so cute.
