I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

Edit: OK that just didn't belong right after the previous post.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Fats Domino? The pool player?

The blues artist, sweetie. You're thinking of Minnesota Fats.

Wow, I didn't think it took me that long to reply...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Does Chubby Checker play pool?

move out and draw fire

Maybe Bush Sr could use his CIA connections to raise some cash from a Middle Eastern theocracy and a war-torn Central American country. If only there were some precedent...

Despite the fact that the CIA is named for him now, I don't think they are any too happy with this administration, and will probably be a little opposed to doing such favors.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Does Chubby Checker play pool?

No, Twister.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

You're thinking of Wisconsin Chubby, the carrom player.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Damn, Fred was there first.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Corwood, I haven't played carrom in years.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Fats, Fats, the word has lost all meaning.

I guess I'm not surprised people are busting out with the insanity and violence, given the situation they're in. If you feel ignored, "mustn't grumble" starts to feel like "yes, please steamroll me." (Although, protesting en masse is a clever way to draw attention to your plight! If you get CNN on your side, the help will come sooner.)

(Yes, I'm the sort who would walk up to a reporter and say, "Give me what is in your pockets. Do you want an interview? Go find me a flashlight, hon.")

Silence means security silence means approval

I took today and tomorrow off because I was desperate for a vacation and I'm sitting here watching CNN.

I'm just... I don't know what to say.

This is America. This bullshit is not supposed to be happening.
