The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm awake, and not happy about it, since I don't need to be awake and my neighbors suck donkeyass, but now I think I may imitate shrift and drive really fast to where there are donuts and coffee.

This may require pants, but I think I can find some.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The evacuation of the Superdome is on hold because some asswipe is SHOOTING at a helicopter trying to airlift people out.

hip deep in pie

Not really, because they only seem to come in donut flavors, at least the ones I've seen. The texture is more donutty, too.

Really? Because they are very muffin-y muffin flavours where I've seen them. (Which, around here, is almost every block.) Now, I'm going to have to investigate Tim's in the US. I sense a road trip!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, I think we should take the guns away from the crazy people....

I look more rad than Lutheranism

There's a guy who has stayed in NOLA, on the 10th (11th? a high one) floor of an office building in the central business district -- he's got a small group of people with him, a generator, and -- somehow -- enough supplies for them to hunker down. He's been running a webcam out the window, and is posting several updates a day on his blog: [link]

It's really, really interesting reading.

Yeah, I've been reading it after I posted that. Wow. If society ever collapses, the info in that blog will be very useful.

I am telling you now that the people we've been talking to say they are not recognizing the NOPD as a legitimate authority anymore, since cops have been seen looting in Walmarts and forcing people out of stores so they could back up SUVs and loot them. Don't shoot the messenger....

Huh.
