My mom still bugs me about grandkids from time to time, but has calmed down a bit since my nephew was born. I also think she realized that I really meant "I don't want kids right now" when I was the only not going gaga over said nephew. So for the time being she has more fun teasing me about getting grey hairs before she has.
Thankfully, the rest of the family stays out of my love life for the most part.
At one point my dad gave me earrings and pointedly mentioned that the designs on them were fertility symbols.
At least they're pretty earrings.

I probably could have nipped that in the bud when it became obvious that we had some issues with the whole conception thing, but I REALLY didn't want to discuss it, and thought the hinting was rude to begin with, and may have been more abrupt than I should have been when I did say something.
(And then got pregnant within three months of saying it was never gonna happen. Go figure.)

I find that taking straight sudafed (generic or name-brand) makes me NUTSO SPEEDY and taking Comtrex (which is, I think, sudafed plus tylenol) or Advil Cod & Sinus (which is sudafed plus advil) do not. Drugs is weird in the system, they is.

Nice. I've heard from both my mother and my father's mother that neither of them expected they'd ever get married, for one reason or another. Of course, my grandmother married at 18 or 19, and my mother at 22.
