Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh.

BRUSSELS, Belgium - Belgian women's soccer team SK Berlaar had to stomach a 50-1 defeat against rival KV Mechelen on Saturday because their goalkeeper had opted to attend a music concert instead, a local newspaper said.

"Our keeper went to Pukkel Pop. That's why," substitute goalkeeper Charlotte Jacobs told Het Laatste Nieuws daily on Monday.

KV Mechelen scored their first goal after only four seconds.

"At half-time the score was 27-0. But after half-time we were able to recover. We had to stomach only 23 goals and we scored once ourselves, right at the end. They allowed us to score. That was sweet of them," Jacobs added.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My parents never bothered me about grandkids. His? Err, yeah.

I probably could have nipped that in the bud when it became obvious that we had some issues with the whole conception thing, but I REALLY didn't want to discuss it, and thought the hinting was rude to begin with, and may have been more abrupt than I should have been when I did say something.

(And then got pregnant within three months of saying it was never gonna happen. Go figure.)

Fiona, such cute babies you've made.

I find that taking straight sudafed (generic or name-brand) makes me NUTSO SPEEDY and taking Comtrex (which is, I think, sudafed plus tylenol) or Advil Cod & Sinus (which is sudafed plus advil) do not. Drugs is weird in the system, they is.

Quotation from my mother: "You're going to be pushing a PhD around in a stroller instead of a baby!" I was 23.

2nd quotation from my mother, to my best friend, over the phone: "I know your husband is in Iraq right now, so I think that to keep from being lonely, you should have a baby!"

If you look up Boundary Issues in the manual, there's a picture of my mother.

Um, did she say anything about how to explain this to the doubtless surprised husband when he got back?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Quotation from my mother: "You're going to be pushing a PhD around in a stroller instead of a baby!" I was 23.

Nice. I've heard from both my mother and my father's mother that neither of them expected they'd ever get married, for one reason or another. Of course, my grandmother married at 18 or 19, and my mother at 22.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Or the store brand is using a different filler than Benedryl is.

That would be the main possible difference, which could affect the speed at which the active ingredient is absorbed.

Always Anti-fascist!

My mother just told me she didn't care about being a grandma, but she'd "be thrilled when it happens" But she did look sad at the thought of "It's The End of The World..." being my processional. I still think that's what it'll take.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

there's no slaughter rule in soccer?

What's a slaughter rule, and which sports have them?

My mother would be a little mollified if I had a PhD. It's something, but not enough. Certainly not mutually exclusive with the babby thing.
