Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Cheetahs will forever figure in my future biography, won't they?

Had a call with Casper the Amazing Wonder Niece just now, and some day she will actually talk back when people talk to her on the phone. (So far, I have seen that she only listens and grins.) Mommy sounded tired, and very eager for Casper to go to bed.

Have nothing to say about New Orleans, except, I am a big fan of hills. Not living at the tops of them, nor yet at the bottom, but someplace in-between where any water through my living room is on its way someplace else, and quickly.

This would be similar to the reason I don't live downhill from active volcanoes. I am disaster-movie averse that way.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Now, now. Let's not conflate masculinity and sperm count. Procreation does not a good example of a gender make.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've had rotating "Feels Like Rain" and "When the Levee Breaks" earworms all day. Also "Hurricane Party" Dunno what that says about me.

What is even happening?

Of Cheetahs and Cheesebutts would be a good title for memoirs, not to mention a kick ass name for a rock band.

Nutty, after they go through the smile and nod phase, they go through the phase of assuming you can see everything they see, when they're on the phone with you, so the wonder niece will be constantly "showing" you stuff on the phone.

And man, I cannot believe that little girl is two. Those two years passed too quickly. Of course, my baby is entering kindergarten in a week, so I'm already in a wow-time-flies mood.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Because I just unpacked the very last box.

More than that, everything has a place!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Woo Hoo Perkins! I was in my house five years before that happened.
