Still watching the Current channel. It's completely goofy, but that makes it kind of appealing. And by 90s earnestness I do mean the kind of, "the economy will always be strong, young people have invented a new world-changing paradigm, peace is breaking out all over, global unity rah rah" that collapsed in 2001/02.

As far as I know. I haven't talked to them today, but yesterday, the plan was Meridian, MS, and Memphis if necessary. It's not my parents that I'm worried about, but my grandparents and great-aunt. And the dog.

The grandparents don't go with the parents? It's a strongly advised voluntary evacuation at this point with special needs assistance available according to the TV.
All I've accomplished today so far is Bt'ing last nights Sci Fi shows, watching Without a Trace and now I'm knitting while watching Battle of the Network Reality Stars which I have to say is perversely entertaining, especially in the "I could do better than these people" stakes.

God, and my cousin's wedding is next week. He and his fiancee must be stressed to hell and back.
Damn you, bon bon -- I just flipped to Current to see what all the hoopla is about, and not only was REAGAN on it, he was talking about the Challenger disaster. That is NEITHER goofy NOR appealing.
I guess I"ll take a shower.
I was supposed to go to a wedding today. I don't know if they're rescheduling or what, but they certainly won't have many guests, if any.
OK, the content isn't necessarily goofy. The Challenger thing wasn't on when I was writing, but I still liked seeing the whole presidential address. Before that they aired Dan Rather's CBS news piece from the night of the disaster.
Seeing the whole thing would have been OK, but just the tail end was bleh. So I'm back to VH-1.
