Yeah, I ended up using my LJ name too. I suspect I'll shift my fannish email to Gmail eventually, so long as I can download it to my computer. I like having my mail somewhere concrete, in case the company goes out of business (perish the thought).
Work does that.
I just remembered, a helpful 18 hours later, I left the trash inside by the front door at my friend's house last night. Here's to hoping her cats leave it alone until I get over there saturday. They seem like fairly well behaved animals....
Uhg.

If it helps, my cat would absolutely leave it alone. He doesn't mess with stuff like that.
You just never know with them. Mister Kitty, in the past couple of years, has developed a string-eating complex. And he tries to get the string from hems of hanging clothes, towels, etc. It's very frustrating (not to mention potentially dangerous and destructive) and he'd fit the general description of well behaved.
Actually, I think MK's problem is he's a little bored* (or he's just way needy,) since Devi doesn't really interact with him. A friendly cat might cure that, but I really can't do that right now.
eta: * to which I think, he's a cat, damnit. He wants to sleep 20 hours a day, experience feline hallucinations for 2, eat for another 2 and somehow cram in 15 minutes of running from the hallucinations. Bored?!
Sara, Oz is a string eater and nothing keeps him from it. Sylvester definately plays with him. Then again, Oz just randomly pees on the floor every couple of months or so, so maybe he is not the best judge for normal behavior.
A new tic! It's got me rearranging dish towels and keeping my closet closed at all times. Until I forget and then I start swearing. It wasn't really that bad until the past year. Oy.
I'm hoping if I can get it out of sight/out of mind, he'll forget the habit and I can stop being so damned vigilant. It's worked with other bad habits of his.
If anyone else wants a GMail invite, just let me know, I've got loads of 'em.
He should market it for people travelling in the unelectrified boonies with their hamsters.
