Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

17!
My favorite number too actually. And it is now 1:17 so I will take that as a sign...

So it was actually an answer to something? Wow.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

17!

17!

17!

Oh dear. We broke Nilly.

What, don't you think I'm like that already?

Whenever I TA and need a numerical example, the first number that jumps to my mouth is 17. So, at least a few times a day, in the past couple of weeks, with this summer class, I get to use it (only, exclamation-point-less-ly, mostly).

Oh, Nilly. Unleashing the 17 should never be pointless.

Not pointless, exclamation-point-less.

Off to TA!

Have fun ensmartening people, Nilly.

I am still awake. Grrr. I'm missing some crucial combination of sleepy, tired and quiet brain. Two out of three aren't cutting it, no matter the combinations I try.

I have a Letterman rerun on with Paul Newman. I'm content, if not asleep.

New math: If I changed my alarms to the edge of reason and went to sleep right now, I could get four and a half hours. As it stands, I have 11 minutes to fall asleep and get four hours (before I start smashing the snooze alarm) of rest. It's yucky math. Lacking in 17s and enough rest.

I like Paul Newman. He's funny. And to say he has aged well, yowza. I don't know whether Paul Newman should be my supersekrit godfather or boyfriend. Confusion.

Maybe I can add the sleepy and the tired to the confusion, thus making brain quiet. Because I should be asleep before the east coast rises.

To sum up my post: Awake but don't wanna. Paul Newman dreamy and my admiration can be measured in bucketloads. Math bad and lacking in 17s.

move out and draw fire

Happy Anniversary Jessica!

See, she doesn't like cold weather, but I don't like hot, humid weather.

We've been having this exact discussion for about 16 years now, although I'm for hot-and-arid not hot-and-humid. Robert's lobbying hard to retire to Yorkshire; I'm lobbying hard for Istanbul. At the very least, you and AS can have fun discussing it for a long time!

Nilly, I'm wearing my Hard Rock Tel Aviv t-shirt right now!

I'm exhausted. I just trundled back from the market with 17 pounds of Mal on my shoulders and around 30 kilos of fruits and veggies in the cart. Greeks are really nice people (when they aren't driving), and I had a lot of offers of help. Mostly they just all wanted to kiss Mallory though.

Now off to the butchers and the actual supermarket (where I can get my car washed inside and out for € 10 while I shop), then to make tzatziki and some form of dessert. I'm torn between peach pie and peanut divinity.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Hmm, I seem to be less exhausted now than I have been for a while. I guess I'm sleeping better these days, despite sleeping on just a mattress. Must be working my self hard enough that I sleep through to the morning.

(This episode of "Navel gazing theater" has been brought to you by the letter I)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Happy Anniversary, Jess and Fone.
