Frankly, I've never fallen in love (well, yet), or the other way around (for the best of my knowledge), for that matters, so all the possibilities involved in this look a bit like magic to me.

In the last eight or so months, I finally met and became good friends with an ex's wife. I suspect I didn't think anyone was good enough for him. They see the world in each other and it just works. They fit.

Maybe because it is magic. Even when it happens.

I don't know any other way to look at it that makes sense. Then again, until I feel it, I don't really know what it is I'm talking about when I talk about this, so, like parenthood, I'll just have to wait and see how wrong and surprised I turn up to be.

Nilly, I'm in the unique US environment of being surrounded by people at work who have almost all visited or lived in Israel. I was talking about my cool Israeli friend Nilly, and of course they asked where you live and I felt really stupid about the fact that the most accurate answer I knew to that was to repeat "Israel". Where are you there? Enquiring minds want to know!

What do you mean by that?

How people relate and react to others, especially intimately. Actual intimacy as opposed to just something sexual. Not even neccessarily love, just those connections that people have. Seeing things that others don't or can't see.

Not silly, I am having a hard time getting the words right too. It's not something I try to spell out often, or well.
