It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Look at that! I picked an excellent time to drop into Natter. Lots of cool people around.

Nilly, I'm in the unique US environment of being surrounded by people at work who have almost all visited or lived in Israel. I was talking about my cool Israeli friend Nilly, and of course they asked where you live and I felt really stupid about the fact that the most accurate answer I knew to that was to repeat "Israel". Where are you there? Enquiring minds want to know!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Will someone yell at me to go to sleep, since I have to get up earlier than normal tomorrow?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I think most of them were in your Firefly posts actually.

What do you mean by that?
How people relate and react to others, especially intimately. Actual intimacy as opposed to just something sexual. Not even neccessarily love, just those connections that people have. Seeing things that others don't or can't see.
How silly is it not to understand something you wrote about something I wrote?
Not silly, I am having a hard time getting the words right too. It's not something I try to spell out often, or well.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Will someone yell at me to go to sleep, since I have to get up earlier than normal tomorrow?

t makes note to yell repeatedly at Perkins until she drops off

Go to sleep, Perkins.

And set my alarm(s) while you are at it?

Huh.

From my tag archives:

Maybe the appeal was there because of exactly that - a chance to check upon her choice, reflect on it and decide whether it fits her and answers her needs. - Nilly

Kristin! I've been thinking about you a lot lately, with the beginning of your time in the new job! How is it going?

Where are you there?

OK, how specific do you want me to get?

You can say "near Tel Aviv". You can say that I go to Bar Ilan university, and that I live right next to it. If you really want to get specific (since there are like 5 towns bordering the university, it's really a whole big urban area), my apartment is in Givat-Shmuel.

I meant tonight, BT.

Go to sleep, Perkins.

This? NSM yelling.

It's late, I don't want to be rude and keep the neighborhood awake.

GO TO SLEEP NOW!

Unlike, say, my neighbors who are whooping and hollering. I think there might be a child around too. The downfall of summer and the gorgeous weather just begging me to keep windows and doors open is that people = bad.

Fire, however, is pretty. I impulsively bought a candle that might be lavender, sandelwood and marjoram. Subtle actually but very nice.

So that's "Firefly", that's not me - that's just me trying to figure something else out. That's Joss and Tim and what they had to say.

Not even neccessarily love, just those connections that people have

Well, it's important, you know? People are the most interesting and complicated and wonderful thing in the world. Romantic relationships are just one kind of all the practically infinite possibilities.

Also, I have no idea where and why I wrote that thing you posted as a part tagline. Huh.

It's amazing to me, how words can cross so many barriers and actually mean something so such different people who lead such different lives. That's some sort of magic, right there.

[Edit: Cass, for the record - it's very important to me that there's anything that I may be able to say that may have some significance to you. Thank you.]
