Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I think we're even, bt, because I'm not finding your stance coherent either. So I'm going to recuse myself.

Fair enough, this isn't simple stuff. Suits me too, it's been interesting getting my philosophy on again, but it's time-consuming.

Night, Emily! Night, Thomash!

[Edit: I love billytea's tagline:

Dooooooooooooomed.

I hope it means what I think it means, otherwise I like it less.]

See, you need to visit Bitches more often. Like now, because I just posted a phone conversation we just had. (Go! See!)

We've discussed in brief both taking an overseas holiday next year, and moving in together, so I think it means what you think it means, if you think it means what I think you think it means.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm guessing that the retirement plans are compatible? Compatable. Ible to compat? Able to compat? I got amused by the query more than 15 years ago and never bothered to learn the answer. Able makes sense with my little memory aid but I think it is still ible to compat.

Um...

Whee!

I think.

Oh, billy, I am so very happy for you! She sounds awesome (I just read that phone conversation in Bitches, because you directed me there, and how could I resist?). You deserve all the good things in the world, and it seems like she's definitely one of them. Like, worthy of you. Which means a lot.

More or less, but there is a significant issue. See, she doesn't like cold weather, but I don't like hot, humid weather. So we need to come up with a retirement destination that works for both of us. I'm guessing somewhere on the East Coast between Newcastle and Brisbane, but clearly we need to consider this more closely.

Hmmmm, if only there were a destination that met both of your needs and also had a world-famous zoo and wild animal park... Shame that I can't think of one.

Yeah, I can't get over how right it feels. (Plus, she thinks the world of me, not sure why, but I'm not about to rock the boat.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I need this recipe. Email, please?

I'll see what I can do on the morrow.

The chai buttercream is basically the vanilla buttercream from the cupcake issue plus ground chai spices and instant tea to taste.

So yummy.

Cass, the ganache recipe I saw looked great. It involved gently warming the tea with a few bags of Earl Grey it, then the usual ganache steps.

ita, my Aunt Bett used to drink stout nightly in an effort to put on weight.

Sadly, it took it about 30 years for it to actually work.

Hee. Yeah, it's a puzzler. Unfortunately, I think that 'In Australia' is a criterion we can both agree upon.

But the overseas holiday under discussion may well include San Diego and its world-famous animal repositories. No promises.
