Wash: Captain, didn't you know kissin' girls makes you sleepy? Mal: Well sometimes I just can't help myself.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The same thing happened to me, using Safari 1.3.1, OS 10.3.9, both with the F2F thread and Gus's post here.

eta: And Natter, as well.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

it also creates a false sense of security for those that might not. It protects nothing, in the end.

Yeah. It's true.

And yeah. It's not a thing. It's fine.

And also, yeah. The usage problem was mostly with huge massive results, right? From people like me who just defaulted searching the whole board for like, porn, thus bogging everything down? Would the username search still be thread limited like the search we have now? How has the usage been with the single thread searches?

And right, makes sense not to add extra checky-checky code for something that's ultimately just vanity. I mean, if I really felt strongly about it, I could scribble. But I don't. And I won't. So yeah, right.

The description of the Firefly thread is starting to seem a bit dated:

Discussion of all things Firefly, including the movie come September 30th

Perhaps

Discussion of the television show Firefly and the film Serenity

would be more appropriate? Or a bit more verbose

Discussion of the television show Firefly and the film Serenity and related projects

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Speaking of the movie Serenity we saw it again tonight at the Red Vic. Good crowd turned out, and not all repeat viewers we could tell from the gasps.

I'm thinking the movie will sell a lot on DVD for a good long time. It might not have been overwhelming box office, but it will sell.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Eddie, your suggestion is better placed in B'cacy, since it's not technical.

And, well, Hec, you know your post is a little lost itself.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

There's no need for Eddie to repost his suggestion in Bureaucracy anymore, because I already edited the slug.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I edited it a little more, to make it span more than TV and movie. Because it does, and we were poking at it anyway.

One of the perils of "Read New" and a short attention span.

We talked about missing values in the jump control back here ita "Buffistas Building a Better Board ++" Oct 10, 2005 7:13:06 am PDT

I've noticed tonight that the day is missing in Natter, Bitches and Good Riddance. These are all threads (I believe) that were created subsequent to ita's fix. I'm wondering if there is "blank new thread template" code out there that doesn't have the fix applied.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

showthread.php is showthread.php. Every thread is displayed using the same code. The problem is more to do with the calendar dates of when the thread was created. I'll have a look tomorrow.
