I've noticed that before. If there's a
t br
tag earlier in the post, then the auto-tag-closing code (mistakenly) puts a
t /b
tag at the end of the post. If the link is the last thing in the post, then the
t /b
rubs up against it and the auto-htmlify-a-link code does something weird with the opening <
I think.
Anyway, it can be removed by going into edit and putting a space between the link and the
t /b
An example
to study:
[link]
"[Link]>"
I edited it a couple of times, but it kept inserting an ">" entity after the </a> tag.
eta: Huh.
I have given up trying. Updating the Community Links thing is larger than an ordinary human.
The TV Tropes Wiki is still here
Can you describe the problem you're having, so it can go on the list to be fixed?
Can you describe the problem you're having, so it can go on the list to be fixed?
Holy Carp! This is almost exactly my phrasing, when I am going up against a complaint from a newby-please-loan-me-clue-user.
I can't change the URL of the link.
You hit OK and everything comes back the same? Can you change the title or description?
Yes, ma'am. I have changed URL, description, and title.
Wait, you have successfully changed the description and title, but not the URL? Or do they all fail?
.... checking ...
Yeah, I changed the title, the URL, the description ... and now the whole Other TV category has dissolved for me.
ETA: Fuck! "Other TV" shows up for me now, with my changes ignored.
You know, it is not like Buffistas is a major referral-source for the wiki.
So it was born here.. big woops. If it is giving you trouble, ita, axe it off the list.
