Heh, meara and I have the same answer. Worst. admins. ever.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can you make admins at buffistas dot org a member and another admin?

Um. Yes? If you tell me how to do it step by step, using small words?

(Sorry.)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Go to the list of mailing lists: [link]

Click on the Dcistas list. [link]

That should bring you to the entry page for the list. Down at the bottom of the page, click on the link for the Dcistas administrative interface. [link]

Enter the administrative password. (If you can't remember it, check the e-mail you got when the list was set up. It should be in there.) That gets you into the list administration pages. The ones you most likely want to look at are General Options (the default admin page), and Privacy Options.

On the privacy options page, I currently have the Somervillains set up so that anyone can post to it without the admin (me) having to approve the message. Back when we were having some problems with spam, I got more restrictive.

You may also want to check the "pending administrative requests" to see if any messages are awaiting approval. E-mail me if you have any questions.

Okay, I can't find that email. Argh. (Frustrating thing? I know I HAD it and deleted it in a general mailbx purge earleir this week.) Email it to me?

I don't have it, since it'll be different than the one for Somervillains. The only folks that would are you, meara, and (possibly) Tom Scola. If nothing else, Tom can probably get in and reset it.

Ack. I'm so sorry this is such a headache.

Email insent to Scola.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

Done, and insent to the stompies.

Okay, password reset per Scola, test message sent, admins at buffistas dot org invited to join and added to admin list.

The test message has not showed up yet for me. Hmmm.

I still haven't gotten either my test message or a bounce, and no admin solution is obvious.
