Hmm, safari on my Mac, and it does not seem to do the left menu part.
Buffistas Building a Better Board ++
Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Just so you have another data point. The view setting does not engage for me. Chrome Version 86.0.4240.111 running on a Mac OS 10.15.7.
Let me try it in a different browser, and that might help narrow down what the deal is.
Yep, I was able to turn it on and off successfully in Firefox. Let me know if there's any other testing that would be helpful.
I am also really missing a Read New link at the bottom of the page.
I was about to say "me too," and then I realized the link I'd like at the bottom of the page is a Message Center link.
Which is not to say that I'm not grateful, Gud, and not in awe of your work on the board. I have absolutely no idea how a person goes about creating a board like this, so you might as well be a wizard with a pointy hat and magnificent robe who made this with magic. It's so damn impressive. Many MANY thanks, Gud.
All of what Teppy said--Gud you are amazing and this is awesome!! I have no idea how any of this works and am so grateful there are Buffistas who do have that knowledge!
...also would like a message center button at the bottom

Yes to what Teppy said, Gud. I offered my last comment only to let you know what's happening, not as any kind of demand. Thank you again, Wizard.
I like the hamburger menu on my iPhone for read new.
Did you ever change "Number of posts displayed per page" on the old board?
I did not. That's a good theory.
I'm loading the migrated data on my computer so I can look at it in my dev environment.

All of this. Except I sort of have an idea of how this is put together, which still makes it magical and impressive.
