Hi, DreamHoster!
Your host machine, has just been upgraded to Ubuntu Linux version 18.04.1 LTS (aka Bionic Beaver)!
Everything appears to be in order on our side of things! As a reminder, this only affects the host machine your VPS runs on - we'll be upgrading your VPS at a later date (we'll let you know!).
If you'd like to start preparing now for the eventual VPS upgrade (especially if you are using Ruby, Python, or run a site that relies heavily on specific server packages), we strongly recommend reading through the page below for known changes that may affect you:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our technical support team. They're trained and ready to help with any upgrade-related questions or concerns:

Beaver is coming
Made a minor update to the beta board. The 'Edit Delete Mark' links are no longer buttons.
Looks like I never did threadsuck, so I guess I'll add that before long.
Oh yeah, the most important thing to add is the ability to use the 'forgot my password' feature when resetting the password on an existing account.
Beta board is at Beta Board.
The big features over the existing board are that registration and logout work, the layout is responsive (adapts to mobile), and vastly improved security. On the admin side, website pages can be created and edited directly on the website, password reset is automated, and votes are also automated.
Amazing, Gud! When can the site migrate over entirely?
Gotta have 'forgot your password' feature for resetting passwords on existing accounts. After that, it's pretty much ready. There will need to be some hosting work as well, like getting a cert for buffistas.org and such. Wish we didn't need to do the password resetting thing, but the current password hashes just aren't secure. They were okay for their time, but not now.
Gud -- I forget if this is a known issue, but when I look at (for example) the last 10 posts of the music thread on the Beta Board, there are a whole bunch of broken links within the posts.
Looks like a URL parsing error. I'll have to take a look.
I'll be taking down the beta site and resetting the database a bit to test some stuff.
Okay. The database was reset on the beta site. Also, if you use the 'forgot my password' thing to reset your password, then that will also take care of resetting a password for an existing user. In other words, you don't have to actually know your password to log in. However, your profile addy has to be good.
Now to look at that URL parsing.
