Sorry, I still can't seem to register. I put in my info, and it takes me to [link] which looks just like the registration page.
Buffistas Building a Better Board ++
Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Are we supposed to be able to log in with the same username and password as here? Because it won't take my password. Should I make up a new one? Will it make any difference--will I be another user than I am here? Is there any correlation between my ID here and my ID there, or does that matter, at all?
"Speak friend and enter" y'all, and stuff.
The board is currently just up for testing as I add more capability. The usernames and passwords aren't carried over and will not be permanent. Nothing that happens on the beta board matters. There isn't any correlation.
I'll have to look at that registration issue. The link posted here should do exactly what it's doing since that URL can't be accessed by HTTP GET. Is it the case that you fill in your information and then hit register and get that page? That's what it sounds like it is. That would have to mean that your browser isn't issuing the HTTP command that is expected and I'll need to make some tweak. It could also mean that the browser doesn't like some of the things that page does for security purposes. In any event, I'll have to tweak something.
Lots of stuff isn't implemented yet. But just figuring out these registration issues is really helpful so thanks everyone :)
Password security is fully implemented though. Passwords on the test board are much more secure than on the current board.
Hey Tom, I made you an admin on the test board so you should see the start of the admin UI.
amych, I made you an admin as well.
If you want access to the server or access to the code. Let me know. For access to the code you'll need a gitlab account. For access to the server, I'll need a public SSH key.
Oh Jesse, what is your Browser and OS? Do you have any privacy/anti-tracker extensions? There aren't any trackers but those kind of extensions can foul up security measures on the website as well.
You can use spaces in your user name now.
