If I go into my profile and check No on Remember Me, then I can log out.

Do you have problems, concerns, or recommendations about the technical side of the Phoenix? Air them here. Compliments also welcome.
Is anyone having issues of the board hanging when switching threads or doing a refresh? This has been happening for about a week for me. I have to click buttons twice or stop the loading and refresh the whole page. Possibly connected is that sometimes I cannot get the page to load directly to my message center, but usually have no problem loading to the home page.
Yeah, I'm stumped. I tried everything I could find about deleting cookies in php, and it's just not working.
We see you there, ita. We see you.
I haven't had any of the hanging issues that msbelle mentioned, although a couple of double posts have happened. No problem with logging out as long as I don't have 'remember me' selected in profile.

When I unselected "remember me" I was able to log in and out on Firefox without a problem.
I'm not having any hanging issues or double posts. I never use the Message Center, so I don't know if that makes a difference.
Unselecting "remember me" has the side-effect of logging out out of EVERY system you're logged into.
Apparently, this is a known bug:

I was able to log out after I changed the profile to not remember me.

Tom, I think this is by design, because ita made this note up above:

session cookies--good LORD, is this ever a hack! Let me just say--there's a better way to do this. I don't know what it is, but it does exist. It has to. And I do wonder--would a "remember me on this computer" option be useful in addition to the "remember me ALWAYS" we already have implemented?
Huh, I had the exact same conversation in June '13, but have zero memory of it.
For me it isn't a biggee since I never log out of the board on my devices and all the devices have their own systems of locks. It hasn't happened that I have logged on here from a computer in a library or some other person's machine.
Interesting anyway.
