Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Got this message from DreamHost:

Hey Jesse H,
Great news! PHP 5.5 is available!
We recommend updating through the DreamHost panel because running old versions of PHP leaves your website vulnerable to malicious attacks.
Why update to PHP 5.5?
PHP 5.2 has been End-Of-Lifed (EOL'ed) which means the product is no longer getting security updates from the developers, php.net.
PHP 5.3 has been EOL'ed;
PHP 5.4 will be EOL'ed this year;
PHP 5.5 is well tested, stable, and has been in production on sites around the world since June 2013.
You can update to PHP 5.5 using the instructions on our wiki.
Most of your sites should update just fine from PHP 5.2 to PHP 5.5. However, there are some cases where sites with custom scripts, or using out of date One-Click Installs can break.
If you are concerned your site will not be compatible with PHP 5.5, you have a few options.
Ensure that the latest version of your script is compatible with PHP 5.5 and update to that version. Consult with the author/developer of your script to see if your site may be affected.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact DreamHost Support.
Thank you!
Your Happy PHP Update Team

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Not sure where to ask this... I just submitted a request to join Buffistas.org on Facebook (my name is XXXX XXXX). I didn't see a way to connect my name to my screen name "Morgana," though.

Our wings are not tired.

I just approved the request on FB, Morgana.

Thanks Laura. (And now to edit out my proper name due to internet paranoia.)

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I updated my location, but my pin doesn't seem to be moving...

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Oh shit, I hadn't been in here in a bit, saw ita's posts at the start of where I came in (it was only like 15 posts ago or so) and got a gut punch. Woof.

Hits home again. Dammit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, I changed my location as a test and the map is not reflecting the change. I vaguely thought I remembered this happening before but I can't find it inthread. Tried logging out and logging back in, and using a different browser, just in case but made no difference.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Interesting. Doesn't change for me, either, with a bonus (I think). I tried changing from a town and state designation to a slightly different zip code, and my peg didn't move, but a new blue peg appearred that I don't remember being there when I started. It's stuck in Medellin, Colombia, with user name "0". Which is an actual user name, but it shouldn't show as blue for me, right?

I wonder if Google maps changed their input parameters so that ours are no longer quite correct.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I tried narrowing mine down, adding a street instead of only the zip code, but my blue pin didn't update either. I can move the blue pin, but it doesn't stay after I close out. Now I'm back to just using the zip code, so the map shows me living in an auto parts store in the mountains.
