So, I don't actually understand why we're on the hook for excessive use charges if the site was hacked. Is that our fault?

Inasmuch as it is our fault, that should drive home that a dedicated server is beyond our ability to administer safely. This wasn't the first time we got hacked, and it wouldn't be the last, and we don't have an on call Linux admin, despite the emails I barrage Scola with. That's not fair to him.
