It appears to log you off after a period of inactivity, of about 1-2 hours.

I just had to reboot the computer and the modem, and I was logged out 5 minutes after logging in.

OK, I found where it had Dec 31, 2010 hard-coded as the expiration date for cookies.
I bumped it up to 2030, so it should be OK now. You will have to log off and log in again one last time for it to take effect.
