What colour do you want, Erin?
You want to say something like:
body { background-color: silver;}
The list of word colours you can use is: aqua, black, blue, fuchsia, gray, green, lime, maroon, navy, olive, orange, purple, red, silver, teal, white, and yellow.
And then on top of that you can mix your own using a tool like an RGB color picker (click on the middle bar to get in the neighbourhood, the square on the left for the precise colour, and then copy the number out of the
#
box and use it like this:
body { background-color: #8387C4;}
What colors do you think would be the best pick for eye-ease?
The text will still be in black, which is fine?
I'm not sure--I use blinding white. Do you want to take the edge off with something kinda beigish like #FDD5B3 or with the color name silver? What are you using for your ereader?
And why am I awake?
I know why I'm awake, girl; anyhoo, my ereader is a medium blue.
I'm trying a purpley-grey right now, and will play with it.
Can I also make the font a little bigger, or is that too tricky? (Me eyes is gettin' old...)
Thanks for the instruction!
Do you want to make all the font bigger, or just the posts? If you expand the body tag so that it looks like
body {
background-color: silver;
font-size:150%
}
You can play with the relative font size of much of the page.
If you just want the posts bigger,
.post {font-size:150%}
should do it.
Excellent! Thank you so much!
I'm trying the silver background. Much easier on the eyes, especially in a dark theater. It's kinda cute how the post box POPS out of the page, being white and all.
Has anyone been to the .info page lately? I accidentally clicked on my bookmark, and there's a big splash page saying "Fangeek...Coming soon..."
We moved servers and I haven't set the new stuff up yet,
Oh, phew -- it's not that I forgot to renew the domain name?
