But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm not sure if this applies but sometimes when I log on at another computer I'm logged off when I get home.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

This is on the same computer--I haven't been on another computer at all.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gah. I think there's a procedure to do with unchecking remember me and logging off and on and re-checking it, but I don't recall precisely. Sorry to be so little help, but maybe it will trigger someone else's better memory.

I'll try that. It's not a huge problem, more like, "What, again? Okay, now."

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

As of yesterday, my home laptop can't find b.org. I keep getting "Oops, that link appears to be broken." Since no one else was having a problem, I thought it might be my network, but my ipod Touch logged in just fine, so I'm assuming it's my computer.

It was working fine on Saturday, then Windows Update did stuff overnight and rebooted me, which may or may not be related. Any ideas on how I can fix it? So far it's the only site giving me problems.

Can you get to alt.buffistas.net?

Look at the /flushdns option described at [link] . It might solve the problem for you.

Neither worked. Tech support tried a system restore but still no b.org.pings fine, but no browser resolution. Grrrrrr!

All browsers? Yet it resolves when you ping? I...I got nothing.

I know, weird, right? Even the tech was at a loss. And now it's not just opening a page not found, but it's opening it in a new window, even before it tries to resolve the page. I have it running a full virus scan now, 'cause I don't know what else to try.
